UFC Returns to Louisville for Fight Night in June
Cannonier vs. Imavov Main Event Preview
UFC announced today that it will return to Louisville, Kentucky, for just the second time in the promotion's history. The event, UFC Fight Night: Cannonier vs. Imavov, will take place at the KFC Yum Center on June 8, 2024.
The main event of UFC Fight Night: Louisville will feature a middleweight clash between Jared Cannonier and Nassourdine Imavov. Cannonier is a former UFC heavyweight title challenger, while Imavov is a rising star in the middleweight division.
Although Imavov is the taller opponent by four inches, Cannonier has a significant reach advantage. Cannonier is also a more experienced fighter, with 22 professional fights to Imavov's 12.
The UFC's Louisville return features top middleweights vying for title contention. Cannonier is currently ranked No. 4 in the UFC's middleweight rankings, while Imavov is ranked No. 10.
The Octagon returns to Louisville for the first time since 2011. The UFC Fight Night main event will be available live on ESPN and ESPN+.
