Avalanche Release 2023-2024 Roster

Key Additions and Departures

Nathan MacKinnon, Cale Makar, and Mikko Rantanen Return to Lead the Way

The Colorado Avalanche have released their official roster for the 2023-2024 season. The team is coming off a disappointing playoff exit, but they are hoping to bounce back and contend for another Stanley Cup. The Avalanche have made some key additions and departures this offseason, and they believe that they have a roster that can compete with the best in the NHL.

One of the biggest additions to the Avalanche is forward Valeri Nichushkin. Nichushkin was a key part of the Avalanche's success in 2021-2022, and he is expected to play a similar role this season. The Avalanche also added defenseman Ryan Graves, who is a physical presence on the blue line. Graves is expected to help the Avalanche improve their defense, which was a weakness for them last season.

The Avalanche also made some key departures this offseason. Forwards Nazem Kadri and Andre Burakovsky both left the team in free agency. Kadri was a key part of the Avalanche's success in recent years, and his departure will be a big loss. Burakovsky was also a solid contributor, and his departure will hurt the Avalanche's depth.

Despite the departures of Kadri and Burakovsky, the Avalanche still have a strong roster. MacKinnon, Makar, and Rantanen are all elite players, and they are surrounded by a solid supporting cast. The Avalanche should be a contender for the Stanley Cup this season.
