**Hawkeyes Honor Veterans with Special Uniform Design** The Iowa Hawkeyes will honor our veterans with a special uniform design this season. The uniforms will feature a Tigerhawk logo on the entrance gate, as well as the Big Ten logo in Iowa's colors. The team's official wordmark logo will also be featured on the uniforms. The memorable Iowa Hawkeye logo emphasizes the team's rich tradition and connection to the University of Iowa. The logo features a stylized "I" with a stylized hawk's head inside. The hawk's head is a symbol of strength, courage, and determination, all of which are qualities that the Hawkeyes strive to embody. The team will wear the special uniforms for the first time on Saturday, November 10th, when they host Maryland at Kinnick Stadium. Proceeds from the sale of the uniforms will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project. "We are proud to honor our veterans with these special uniforms," said Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz. "They have sacrificed so much for our country, and we are grateful for their service."
